Public swimming pools in Hong Kong must meet high hygiene and cleanliness standards. Swimmers should wear bathing suits and not leave towels, clothes or shoes on the pool deck. Goggles should also be worn to protect eyesight. Also recommended is taking a shower before and after entering the water and only changing rooms designated by management should be used; additionally it’s wise to bring white T-shirts along for use over swimsuits before entering a swimming pool.
